| |
The London Ringers' Advent Carol Service will be held on Monday 1st December at St Giles, Cripplegate, at 7 p.m.
The service will be led by the Ringers' Choir, and the lessons will be read by Association Officers and by the Editor of The Ringing World.
There will be ringing at Cripplegate beforehand from 6 p.m. and afterwards there will be a party, hosted by the Ancient Society of College Youths,
at the Red Herring pub, which is at 49 Gresham Street, nearby. All London ringers are welcome.

| | Ringing and the Law |
| |
The Central Council of Church Bell Ringers wants all ringers to be aware that they do not ring in isolation, but are subject to national and church laws.
The Tower Stewardship Committee of the CCCBR has produced Guidance Notes to five areas in which conflict or problems might arise.
Details of how to access these, and an outline of what they contain, can be found in this CCCBR leaflet .

| | Association Training |
| |
Please help us to help you!
The Association intends to further improve the training on offer to its Members. In order to do this, we need to know what training our members need,
and what skills are on offer.
The reason we are doing this is that as part of revitalising the training on offer, we want to arrange training programmes that can help specific groups of ringers
achieve their goals within an agreed time period.
Click here to complete the form on line and save postage costs and trees, or download a simple Training needs assessment form
which I would be most grateful if you would complete and return by e-mail to , or by post to:
Tim Joiner, 3, Hawkins House, Dolphin Square, London SW1V 3NS
There is no such thing as a perfect training programme, and all Training Needs Assessment forms are capable of improvement.
The form is very basic at this stage, but over time we will be able to refine the questions we ask.
The information you provide will be held in a manual record and on computer, but will only be used by the Association for training purposes.
It will not be divulged to any other organisation.
Thank you for your help.
Tim Joiner

| | Framework for Teaching |
| |
The Central Council’s Education Committee has produced a Framework to help any band take a systematic approach to the way it manages and conducts training. It is, they say, comprehensive but not prescriptive: bands can adapt it to their circumstances. But it sets out objectives; and it is a checklist that they can use when reviewing or planning how their band trains new ringers.
The Framework - more information is here.
